Vertical Integration

Quality-focused at Every Stage

With nearly 40 years of cultivation, herbal manufacturing, and clinical experience, we at HeavenSentHempTM have learned where it makes sense to apply technology and disciplined processes, and when to simply let nature’s elegance take priority. We’ve also learned that we can more readily achieve our objectives by maintaining a consistent and focused intention across the entire product development lifecycle.

The relative merits and disadvantages of a company choosing to vertically integrate operations to achieve higher levels of production efficiency, profitability, or market control have been widely debated. A significant majority of the authorities on this subject, however, agree that product quality improves with integration, and quality has become a key consideration for people who are considering the inclusion of cannabis into their dietary or therapeutic regimens.

HeavenSentHempTM co-founder, Dr. Brent Davis, dedicated himself to producing the most highly bioactive and effective herbal products on the market in 1981. Since that time he has earned an enduring and impeccable reputation for purity and quality in all products he has formulated. We’re now able to track:

  • Our plant genetics acquisition and development activities
  • Our field preparation inputs and practices
  • Our indoor germination, propagation, and transplant activities
  • Our organic field nutrition and pest management activities
  • Our Harvesting activities
  • Our post-harvest activities
  • Our component sourcing, manufacturing and final-product blending activities
  • Our in-house, third-party, and compliance testing activities
  • Our packaging, labeling, marketing, and distribution activities
  • Direct feedback from the patients in our own associated clinic and from our existing network of holistic practitioners

Integration across all of these activities helps us to remain in compliance with various mandatory and voluntary regulatory requirements (USDA Organic Certification, FDA CGMP – Current Good Manufacturing practices, Tennessee Department of Agriculture, etc.). Perhaps most importantly, gathering all of this seemingly unrelated data provides us with the opportunity to measure and continually improve our processes and to gain valuable insights into how these processes correlate with evolving patient requirements. The question we continually ask through the entire product lifecycle remains, “How can we better serve the people who trust us with the responsibility of delivering great products?”
